SM SUPERMALLS 100 Days Before Christmas

SM Malls Start Countdown to a Merry Christmas!

Aside from my birthday, celebrating Christmas is always something I look forward to in a year. I have wonderful Christmas memories since my childhood that up to this present day still lingers and it puts me in a sentimental mode especially when I hear joyous Christmas carols played on air.

Countdown to Christmas

The Negrense Bloggers are excited for the holidays!

Here in Bacolod, SM CITY’s 100 Days Countdown to Christmas’ event was launched last September 16, 2019 at the mall’s atrium. The evening was filled with music as we were entertained and delighted by the Christmas songs performed by the De La Salle Chorale. As they say, Christmas is for children so what could even make them happier than to see Santa at the mall!

Yeeees, Santa Claus was there to cheer the kids. Mascots from Mc Donald’s and Jollibee ( a Philippine fast food chain) also added to their excitement.

As SM Supermalls start the countdown to Christmas, a lot of gimmicks and surprises await its loyal shoppers. Avail of the coming holiday sale where you can get big discounts, go to your favorite restaurants, watch a movie with your family, barkada or with a date or just stroll in the mall and feel the holiday rush.

We loved listening to the golden voices of the De La Salle Chorale

MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS

I’m kinda old school when it comes to celebrating the holidays. I grew up observing a Christmas tradition where my Grandmother would wake all of us up before 12 midnight and after Noche Buena, the fun begins—opening of gifts!

Decades after, we still celebrate it but with some touches of present times. I lived in Manila for some time so whenever Christmas season comes, one place comes to mind – SM Megamall. My mom and I would, dine out and just stroll around the mall for hours.

Now that we are in Bacolod, we still do the same.

And we usually end up shopping for our Noche Buena items at SM City Bacolod Supermarket, because everything you need in the kitchen is there.

PASKO in PINAS

Filipinos are known to be hospitable, fun loving and we love to celebrate occasions whether the traditional way or with a modern touch.

Well, for me it doesn’t matter however way you celebrate it as long as we embrace the spirit of Christmas which is selfless love, gift of giving, caring for others and love for family.  Then that’s more than enough.

Of course, the countdown to the holiday begins and that means puto bumbong, bibingka, fruit cake and ham will again be the star of every street corner and stalls. Oh, I can’t wait to taste all these mouth-watering Christmas goodies soon.

So, are you ready for Christmas?

The countdown has just begun…
