Chabby’s Adventures

Hello Furfriends! It’s been some time since I wrote about Chabby– I’m sure you miss her too. I was able to give you an update on how she survived her sickness which almost took her life two months ago, and now that she has bounced back, Chabby is in for her new cat adventures.

Did you miss me?

Cat on Top

My mom would often tease me that I stalk Chabby. I enjoy watching her cat moves and I’m amazed how flexible she is, I mean cats are really that way. Chabby doesn’t fear high places and structures in fact, she likes to be on top of a tree, of a car, and she can spend all day walking on top of our roof even jumping across to our neighbor’s.

Home Ceiling Home

One day, I called on Chabby for her to eat breakfast… she didn’t come. I called her out loud again, still she didn’t appear. That was the time Mama and I searched for her around the house, looked for her even outside our  perimeter wall to see if she has managed to go out of the gate. While shouting her name, I suddenly looked up the roof and saw that she was also looking down at me! Oh, I didn’t know what to say, I was just happy because I thought we already lost her.

We watched her and observed where she might be going, so we saw this hole where she can pass through from the room leading to the ceiling. Voila! Chabby’s got a new hideaway.

Ladder Baby

In order for Chabby to come down from the ceiling, Mama would get a ladder and put it right at the opening of the ceiling where she passes through. Oh what a bratty kitty!

Window Cat

Aside from the ceiling, she likes to stay on top of my room’s window sill, actually that’s her first favorite high spot. This is where she’d eat her Whiskas, take a nap or just simply look at the birds and butterflies.

This is my territory!

Preparing Oneself

As cat parents, are you ready to lose them? NO!

But as days go by, Chabby has become harder to manage as she is more independent and wants to explore the outside world.

She is an outdoor cat but to my mind she isn’t the street smart type especially in dealing with humans and situations. That’s why I’m worried what might happen to her once she gets out of our gated home.

Where do you think you’re going, huh?

Observe Responsible Pet Ownership

  • What does your cat like most, indoors or outdoors?
  • How do you take care of them when they get sick?
  • Do you address their every need like food, water, comfy sleeping area?

Kindly share your views so Chabby and I can also learn from you guys.  CCT
