THAT’S QUARANTAINMENT BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES OF THE 90’s; FANS CLAMOR FOR MORE

Spread the love

ARE YOU AN 80’s and 90’s KID?

Raise your hands if you’re an 80’s and 90’s kid or if you know someone who can relate to That’s Entertainment! Well, you guys can surely connect with this topic and smile along as we go down memory lane.

So, this quarantine period gave Janno Gibbs the idea to bring his friends together who are also love teams of That’s as they performed the 90’s Starship hit song Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now. Siyempre, present ang unang ka-loveteam ni Janno na si Manilyn Reynes at ka join din ang mga friends nilang sina Tina Paner, Ramon Christopher, Keempee de Leon, Sheryl Cruz at Romnick Sarmienta.

One thing good that has come out from being quarantined is having more time spent with family, reconnecting with friends online or through phone calls. In Janno’s case, he also made reconnecting with his friends more meaningful by making the music video and sharing it with their fans knowing that they are dearly missed. Aba, totoo nga!

Sa teaser pa lang ni Janno sa kanyang Instagram account ng That’s Quarantainment, marami na ang kinilig, na-excite at nag-abang until the time he uploaded the full video of their mini-reunion.

Sa totoo lang, kahit ako eh, napapa-smile at nag-reminisce rin sa That’s Entertainment days-  the 80’s and 90’s. Hindi lang ako ang may ganitong reaksyon, pati ang ibang fans at followers, fellow artists and colleagues nila were all delighted to see them singing again on screen.

FAN MODE ON

The That’s Quarantainment music video proved one thing–fans of the 80’s have not stopped supporting them. Buhay na buhay ang fandom ng mga loveteams nina Janno-Manilyn, Tina-Monching, Sheryl-Romnick at Manilyn-Keempee.

Bongga!

Even their fellow actors in the industry showed their support by posting comments and congratulatory messages to the artists involved.

However, despite their efforts to collaborate and bring happiness in this time of crisis, may mga ilang hindi pa rin nakuntento at tila hindi nasiyahan sa effort ni Janno at mga kaibigan niya.

Sabi ng isang netizen/fan, bakit daw wala si Lotlot de Leon? Kesyo sila raw ni Ramon Christopher ang mas bagay at sana raw sinama na rin ang ibang members ng That’s para walang mag-tampo.

Janno didn’t ignore this comment and replied to her explaining that Lotlot wasn’t part of the video dahil inuna niya ‘yung mga singers sa batch nila.

Janno also mentioned na sila pa lang pitong members ng That’s, mahirap na ang recording para sa kantang ito. But of course he plans to work and coordinate with more of his friends from That’s for future collaboration.

Sana rin daw nasiyahan at nakuntento ang netizen na ito sa kung ano lang ang nakayanan nila.

Oh well, we can’t please everybody.

There will always be people who will say or comment negatively about what you do even if the world says you did well.

NOSTALGIC THAT’S

That’s Entertainment is a youth oriented variety show that was aired in 1986-1996. Founded on television by master showman himself, Mr. German “Kuya Germs” Moreno, That’s… was also a training ground for newbie artists at that time to enhance their skills in hosting, acting, dancing and singing kaya marami sa kanila ang sumikat at nagka-pangalan sa showbiz. Ilan din sa taga That’s ay sikat nang public servants ngayon at sa iba pang field they chose to serve and dedicate their craft.

So, next reunion video hopefully others can also join para mas maging happy at mabuhayan muli ng loob ang 90’s fans.
