Merzci is headed by Mr. Jonathan M. Lo (President & CEO) and goes under the trade name CM & Sons Food Products. Over the years, Bacolodnons have grown to love Merzci’s goodies and have acquired the taste for their food and pasalubong treats that made them popular not only in the Visayas but in different parts of the country and abroad as well.
We, the members of Negrense Blogging Society (NBSI) graced the Kamustahan Sa Merzci together with media friends and some of Merzci’s employees at their main office several days ago.
It was an afternoon of good conversation with Mr. Lo reminiscing about Merzci’s early days and how it evolved to what it is today.

That happy afternoon, Mr. Jonathan Lo also introduced to the media and bloggers some of their loyal staff who have reached 25 years of service working with Merzci. They are the ones who were with them when they started from scratch to the success it is now.

Merzci already knows the preference and “kiliti” of Bacolodnons, that’s why they continuously come up with new products that are upgraded in taste, appearance and packaging.
Of course, I play favorites.
And among Merzci’s delectable goodies, my favorites are Cheese Tart and Banana Strings (cheese flavor). Why is it my favorite? Merzci’s Cheese Tarts are not too sweet and the crust is not so thick. It also has generous cheese filling…yuuum!
Banana Strings come in three flavors, (cheese, barbeque and sour cream) and also in two packagings, the pouch (90g) and the plastic bottle.
I still prefer the cheese flavored banana strings.
