Yellow Leaf’s buffalo wings– soooo good!
I will order this again when I come back!

Yellow Leaf Cuisine was our last stop for food tasting on the first night of our Bacolod food crawl experience at The Boxes, located at the New Government Center in Bacolod City. I was already a bit full on our way to this resto but when we got there, the mood was set again for eating pleasurably. The place is owned and managed by Ms.Tyrene Mae Ilisan, a culinary arts graduate from the University of St. La Salle.

Why yellow leaf? “Back then, I was asking for a sign if I should start a restaurant business. I asked for a yellow leaf to fall. Then while I was talking to my mom about it, I saw a leaf fall in front of our car-  it was a yellow leaf!  And when we went to check on the proposed location for the restaurant, the area was also painted yellow. That was for me the sign that I should pursue this project.” says Tyrene.

Ambiance and Design

Instagramable, pictorial friendly – that’s what I can say about Yellow Leaf’s interiors and design. If you love taking pictures and posing for IG and FB, then you guys will like it here.  It has pastel-colored walls, sofas to relax especially for coffee drinkers, wall frames with inspirational quotes—all these plus good food!

Food, Drinks and more….

My tummy was almost full but when the food was served, oh wow, I can’t resist having a bite. Tyrene prepared pasta Con tono, nachos, Caesar salad, pork adobo flakes with garlic rice, buffalo wings in garlic dip (must try), crepes, baby back ribs and ice cold beverages.

My Yellow Leaf favorites…

  • Con Tonno pasta- linguine pasta, black olives, tuna, garlic and sprinkled with parmesan cheese
  • Buffalo Wings- There are two flavors – buffalo and garlic parmesan. I tasted both and they’re really good. You should not leave Yellow leaf without trying this.
  • Pork Adobo flakes- shredded tender adobo flakes for a filling meal.

Yellow Leaf also serves chorizo pesto pasta, bolognese, chicken fingers, sizzling chicken sisig, baked chicken pesto, grilled/ sizzling boneless bangus, blue marlin tangigue and more…

Yellow Leaf is open daily at 11:30am-11pm
