Megaworld’s Christmas Tree Park Brings Back The Child In Us
Christmas is a festive occasion observed and celebrated especially by Catholic Christians all over the world as we await for the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the Philippines, we celebrate the longest holiday season. It is anticipated with excitement and with a joyous feeling by our kababayans. You know it’s already the start of the “ber” months when you open your radio and hear Jose Mari Chan singing his most famous song for the season, Christmas in our Hearts. Some of our fellow Pinoys, especially those with kids, start to decorate their homes and the budget conscious begin with their Christmas shopping and gift hunting. September 1 signals the start of the Christmas season in our land.
SPEND LOVELY EVENINGS AT THE CHRISTMAS FOREST
Here in Bacolod City folks can now enjoy strolling around the Christmas Tree Forest where about 250 Christmas trees of different sizes, fabulous display of colors and decorations are scattered all over the main road inside Forbes Hill, a prime residential village property being developed by Megaworld Corporation in the City of Smiles. The Christmas Tree Forest is open to the public 24/7 and is located right beside the iconic Bacolod Welcome Marker, the Philippines’ first Las Vegas-inspired welcome marker that Megaworld and the City of Bacolod inaugurated last year.

The Christmas Tree Forest…
This new attraction was unveiled last December 11 and features Christmas trees adorned with thousands of dazzling colored lights that come alive at night and dance to the tune of a variety of Christmas jingles.
According to Ms. Jennifer Palmares- Fong, VP For Sales and Marketing of Megaworld Bacolod, ‘This is the first time for Bacolod City to have a park filled with hundreds of Christmas trees and we are very glad to introduce this attraction as our way of celebrating Christmas in Megaworld. While others are into putting up giant Christmas trees and dancing lights, we thought of introducing something unique and different here at Forbes Hill. We would like to invite everyone to come and visit us at the Forbes Hill Christmas Forest and enjoy the fun and joyful vibe of the season by bringing along their families and friends.”
PERFECT TIME TO SEE THE LIGHTS
We can all come and see the Christmas trees anytime but the excitement starts when the lights are turned on from 5:30pm to 10:00pm . This is also an ideal stop-over for pictorials and groufies especially for those who are coming from the airport or from the city proper. You can just park your car and walk around and enjoy the sight.
Good news!!! This will be a yearly thing, so hopefully we can show our support by visiting the initial venture of this project.
