I’m a certified animal lover (like most of you maybe). In my childhood days I remember we had dogs, cats, goats and chickens roaming around in our backyard. That’s where my fondness for animals began.
I had previously experienced caring for a dog, my very first puppy named Odessa, who was given to me by my best friend Peaches. Years later, when I was in college my Lola had a dog named Brownie who gave birth to six puppies, so I took one and named him Puppy Cris. I really loved cuddling and feeding them.
And CHABBY Came…
As I said, we also had cats at home but honestly I didn’t spend as much time with them as I did with my dogs — until I had Chabby and Goldie. That’s when I started rediscovering the differences and similarities between cats and dogs and why us humans are soooo in love with them.
CATTITUDE IN YOU
So now I can say that cats have their way of making you feel loved, special and important though NOT the way dogs show their affection to their master. Dogs are very spontaneous, warm and affectionate while cats have moods, are independent creatures who need space and oftentimes are curious to discover new adventures.
Cats can be funny too especially when they are playing around. You’ll see their funny expressions especially kapag ‘yung naghahanap sila ng mapi-predator nila, they seem so serious that you can’t even call their attention.
Cats, like humans also differ in personality so it is all up to us to adjust, discipline and at the same time learn from these creatures.
SIBLING LOVE
Chabby and Goldie may be siblings but they differ in a lot of ways.
Chabby is:
- Sensitive, Not touchy, Grumpy, Loves to eat cat food, Prefers to be alone
While Goldie is:
- A charmer, Loves to play around, Loves to catch birds, insects and butterflies, Touchy and feely, Loves to eat cooked fish
MEET CHANEL and EBONY
When I stayed at my Aunt’s lovely home in Alabama for a vacation, aside from reuniting with family, I met two adorable, charming and lovely dogs named Chanel and Ebony. They are owned by Aunt who told me that these cuties are rescued dogs. This made them even more special to me.
Like Chabby and Goldie, these two also have endearing qualities that captured my attention and they also have different personalities.
CHANEL, the Alabama home princess is more friendly, loves to dress up, touchy-feely, bratty and a mama’s girl.
EBONY on the other hand is the low key type. He has a long and gentle frankfurter body type and is quiet and just loves to sit and watch Chanel as she plays around. Oh, these dogs really charmed me that my fondness and love for these four–legged creatures grew more each day.
Now if you ask me, who won my heart?
BOTH! Cats and dogs are unique in their own ways. Both captured my attention and they can charm people in ways they know how.
How about you, which do you prefer to be your furbaby?
TAKE NOTE: DO NOT GET A PET IF YOU CANNOT TAKE CARE OF THEM./cct
