Award-Winning Hotelier Ramon Makilan Returns to His Roots to Lead Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod

Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod proudly announces the appointment of Ramon as its new
General Manager. A highly accomplished hospitality executive, Ramon brings nearly 25 years
of extensive industry experience, marked by a pragmatic approach and a people-oriented
leadership style that consistently drives productivity, profitability, and market share. His
exceptional contributions to the sector were prominently recognized when he was named one
of the foremost leaders in the Philippine hospitality industry by CEO Insights Asia for 2024.
A seasoned leader in large-scale operations, Ramon most recently served as the General
Manager of Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City, where he spearheaded operations for the
historic 262-room property. His appointment also marks a seamless return to the Radisson
family, having previously served as the Director of Food & Beverage at Radisson Blu Cebu.
Ramon’s formidable background in food and beverage administration—further honed through
key leadership roles at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa and Cebu City Marriott
Hotel—comes at a pivotal time. His expertise will perfectly complement Park Inn by Radisson
Bacolod’s expansive catering and events business, which has recently grown to
accommodate large-scale gatherings of up to 4,000 guests.

For Ramon, stepping into this new role is a heartfelt homecoming. A proud native of the
province and an alumnus of the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, he built his
hospitality career from the ground up right in Negros Occidental, with his early roots planted at
the Bacolod Convention Plaza Hotel.
