5 Years Strong: Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod Forges a Lasting Legacy of Hospitality and Community

Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, the premier international hotel in the City of Smiles,

proudly celebrates its fifth anniversary. This milestone marks half a decade of delivering memorable experiences and building valuable connections since its doors opened on July 8, 2021.

Emerging during the pandemic—one of the most challenging periods in recent history—the hotel has demonstrated remarkable resilience through an unwavering commitment to its people, the planet, and the community.

Today, it continues to thrive through strong partnerships and team dedication, commemorating this milestone with a curated series of activities anchored in forging a lasting legacy.

The celebration began on July 5 with a community medical mission in Barangay Canlandog, Murcia. In partnership with the Agora Refuge Center (ARC) Bacolod and the Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 6, and supported by Barangay Captain Celso Belleza, the initiative provided residents with vital healthcare, free medicines, and complimentary haircut services.

This meaningful outreach perfectly embodied the hotel’s dedication to giving back.

Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod, in partnership with Agora Refuge Center Bacolod and Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 6, successfully brought essential healthcare services to Barangay Canlandog, Murcia through adult and pediatric medical consultations, dental care for 30 patients, and free haircuts for over 30 beneficiaries.
The Moment Makers, the team behind Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod came together to celebrate one unforgettable birthday bash and five years of creating moments that matter.

On its official anniversary, July 8, the hotel hosted a grand birthday bash dedicated to its “Moment Makers”—the passionate team members who have shaped its five-year journey.

The celebration was graced by SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) executives, including Melissa Carlos, Vice President for Commercial, and Cathy Nepomuceno, Senior Vice President for Operations. Emphasizing the collective effort behind the milestone, Ms. Nepomuceno stated: “A true legacy isn’t built within the walls of a building, but within the hearts of the people who run it. Our five-year success story was written by the collective passion of every Moment Maker here today.” Then bash also served as a town hall and employee recognition event, honoring standout team members for their outstanding contributions and positive guest feedback.

Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod proudly recognized its Employees of the Second Quarter, with the awarding led by General Manager Ramon Makilan, together with SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. Senior Vice President for Operations Cathy Nepomuceno and Vice President for Commercial Melissa Carlos.

The week culminated on July 10 with “Legacy Night,” a tribute honoring the hotel’s valued partners, clients, media friends, and content creators. The festive evening featured exciting raffle draws for concert tickets, Swim & Dine packages, and overnight stays at Park Inn by Radisson and other SM Hotels’ properties.

Continuing the legacy – Legacy Night capped off Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod’s 5th anniversary celebration, bringing together our valued clients, community partners, suppliers, affiliates, media friends, bloggers, and content creators for an evening of gratitude and meaningful connections.

A ceremonial toast led by the hotel’s new General Manager, Ramon Makilan, expressed deep gratitude to the community. “When you combine Radisson’s world- class ‘Yes I Can!’ spirit with the undeniable sweetness of the Negrenses, you get an unmatched brand of hospitality that proudly puts the best of Bacolod on the map,” Mr. Makilan shared.

A highlight of the evening was recognizing legacy partners for their sustainability contributions: the Philippine Air Force for 19 outreach activities; the Negros Economic Development Foundation (NEDF) for converting nearly 150,000 kilos of food waste; and Green Solutions PH for the Biodiesel Project, which has donated 3,400 liters of bio-diesel derived from the hotel’s used cooking oil to coastal communities.

As Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod embarks on its next chapter, it remains steadfast in its mission to deliver exceptional service, champion meaningful sustainability, and forge a lasting legacy in the City of Smiles.
