J. Lo, The CEO

To give you a little flashback about your favorite piaya, barquillos and biscocho maker, Merzci started as a small bakery in Libertad market back in 1995.  Through sheer hard work, aggressive marketing skills and the leadership of Mr. Lo they were able to achieve Merzci’s sweet success today.

Why Merci?

“Merci” is thank you in French so I guess every time you get a box of piaya or a pack of butterscotch, you’ll remember to say thank you for the sweet pleasure you are about to enjoy. In 2005, the Merczi Pasalubong Treats line of products was launched to cater to balikbayans and tourists who come to Bacolod.  According to Mr. Lo. the letter “Z” was added to the name as the main target of their products and services are those customers belonging to Generation Z.

Where Can I find Merzci?

If you are from Bacolod City or any part of Negros Occidental, you surely won’t miss a Merczi branch. Why? Because they made sure that all sweet treats, food and pasalubong items are within the reach of customers from all walks of life in terms of cost and accessibility. That’s why in almost all barangays in Bacolod, downtown area, and in some places in Negros, you will find a store/ outlet that sells Merzci goodies.
