FRANCIS MAGUNDAYAO, NOEL COMIA, JR AND FRANCINE DIAZ WILL SHOCK YOU IN TENEMENT 66
Young stars Francis Magundayao, Noel Comia, Jr. and Francine Diaz share the spotlight as they all star in the movie Tenement 66, under the direction of Rae Red.
During the mediacon where they were all together via Zoom, Francine shared how thankful she is to be part of this project na entry ng bansa sa 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (Bucheon Choice category) sa South Korea.
TENEMENT66 IS A BLESSING
Despite the suspense-thriller nature of the film’s story, Francine and her co- actors consider this project a blessing. We are still facing a pandemic now and this movie was shot before and during the pandemic last year hanggang sa natapos na ni Direk Rae pati post prod ng movie.
“Napakalaking blessing, napakalaking opportunity,” sabi pa ni Francine, na sa edad na 17 ay talagang feeling blessed na mabigyan ng ganitong oportunidad.
During the mediacon, Francine said she’s really happy to to be part of Tenement 66, more so to still have work and be in lock in tapings during these tough times. We all know na sa panahon ng pandemya, pahirapan ang trabaho kaya maswerte sina Francis, Noel at Francine to be in this project.
FRANCINE AS LEA IN TENEMENT 66
Ginagampanan ni Francine ang karakter bilang Lea, isang tahimik ngunit palaban na babae kasama sina Francis at Noel.
“Tenement 66” is a story about three teenagers. Lea (Francine) is the neighbor of the two guys (Francis and Noel) and are planning to enter and rob their neighbor’s apartment owned by an old man Nando (Lou Veloso)
Ang planong pagnanakaw ay nauwi sa isang peligro matapos silang ma-hostage ng kilabot na homeowner at humantong sa isang madugo at hindi inaasahang pangyayari. Kung ano ito, that’s what we all have to watch out for!
When asked what was the most difficult scene she experienced while doing this IWantTFC movie she replied that talagang na challenge siya sa scene where she was put in a very difficult situation at pinahihirapan siya. Pero kahit mahirap, natuwa si Francine sa hamon na ibinigay ng eksena. .“Kasi na-e-explore ko yung sarili ko bilang artista at kung hanggang saan ang kaya ko at kung ano ang kaya kong ibigay,” ika niya.
Hindi rin nagdalawang-isip ang “Huwag Ka Nang Mangamba” star sa kanyang role at proyekto. “After nilang ibigay sakin yung kwento at yung character, sabi ko, ‘Okay po ako. Kelan po tayo magsisimula?’ Kaya talagang sobrang saya ko nung nabigay siya sakin,” sabi pa ng isa sa bida ng Click Like and Share.

FRANCINE’S FIRST TIME
Francine is part of the Gold Squad (Dreamscape and ABS-CBN’s teen group) and has been part of Dreamscape teleseryes kaya hasa na rin ang akting niya.
Nu’ng sinalang siya para sa Tenement 66, Francine admits she felt nervous and at the same time excited to be working with the award-winning feminist film director of “Babae at Baril”, of course si Direk Rae.
“Kasi first time ko siyang makakatrabaho.
Napakagaling na director at open siya sa mga suggestions naming actors kung ano ang gusto naming gawin sa characters namin. Ready siya makipag-collaborate sa mga actors,” kwento ni Francine.
Dahil sa “Tenement 66” na isang malaking proyektong pinagkatiwala sa kanya, mas handa na ang dalaga sa mas mapaghamong mga karakter na kanyang gagawin sa mga darating na proyekto.
“Yes, I think so. Like I said, I’m always up for the challenge especially when it comes to acting,” she said. “Kasi gusto ko yung meron akong na-a unlock na achievement or skill sa buhay ko at sa sarili ko.”
Already six years in the biz, Francine says she still wants to portray different characters and she knows that she still has a lot to learn.
“Gusto kong ma-try yung role na secret agent ako yung medyo ma-action. Yung parang si Al Pacino sa Scarface tapos si Angelina Jolie sa Salt,” She said.
