CENECO’s pursuit of a 1.3 billion-peso rehabilitation loan faced obstacles, with the Energy
Regulatory Commission withholding approval for various reasons, including community opposition and procedural factors. Meanwhile, the existing capital expenditure charges were being squandered, adding to the financial strain. In light of these setbacks, CENECO is
compelled to seek more loans, saddling consumers with mounting debt and an unsustainable future.
A Clear Vision for Transformation:
The consequences of these challenges are evident in our daily lives, where brownouts persist, power poles deteriorate, and bills fluctuate wildly. Now is the time for change. This time, Primelectric, is proposing a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) that offers a lifeline to CENECO and, in turn its consumers. With a commitment of 1.7 billion pesos, Primelectric aims to alleviate CENECO’s debt burden and embark on a journey of revitalization.

Primelectric’s JVA injects a much-needed cash infusion into CENECO, facilitating debt repayment and even returning consumer’s Bill Deposits. Unlike loans, this investment is a purchase of CENECO assets, leaving the Distribution system and metering charge unchanged at
