CELEBRITIES AND THEIR BUSINESSES IN THE TIME OF PANDEMIC

Spread the love

The deadly Covid-19 pandemic has shaken our lives and the country’s economy when it hit us and the entire world early this year.

Because of the speed in which this virus can be transmitted, the government had to implement quarantine measures and safety protocols that include social distancing, wearing of face mask and hand washing/sanitizing among others.

Ang iba, cook and bake from home ang ganap.

LET’S TALK BUSINESS

We all know that ABS-CBN has shut down its major operation since Congress did not grant them the renewal of their franchise.

Meron ding nag-online shop at cooked food for take out and delivery.

STARS AND SIDES

Kumbaga, ito ‘yung other source of income nila aside from acting and hosting dahil sabi nga, nothing is permanent in showbiz.  Kailangan may fallback ka.

Juday, Ara and the Sommereux couple (Gladys and Chris) run their restaurants while Pokie is into cooked food and condiments business.

Rapper Gloc-9 just ventured into selling fried chicken which he cooks himself while comedian Eric Nicolas is now selling his homemade beef tapa.

Comedian Eric Nicolas and wife Ethel started their tapa business and it’s doing well.

Kapuso comedienne Aiai delas Alas joins the list as she sells her Ube Cheese Pan de Sal under the label Martina’s Breads and Pastries. Actor turned restaurant owner and chef Marvin Agustin is selling his famous munchies–banana bread, kerot loaf cake, classic chocolate cake and tres leches which he learned to bake during the lockdown.

Stand up comedian Gil Morales popularly known as Ate Gay launched her siomai business in Tondo where he also resides.

Pero hindi nawalan ng pag-asa si Ate Gay, he looked for ways on how to survive this pandemic with the amount he has in his pocket.

And voilaaah, here comes Ate Gay’s Siomai (Siomai Himala) food cart business!  Balitang patok sa lugar nila ang siomai ni Ate Gay which he cooks himself kaya sulit daw ang pagod at effort niya.

Ate Gay’s Siomai also sells  pancit, noodle soup, fried rice  and hopefully madagdagan pa ito sa mga darating na araw.
